I am changing the front brakes on a 01 buick lasaber and I don't see any %26quot;clips%26quot; that hold the outside brake pad into positon. They can't move up because of the top metal of the caliper and they can't move too far in or out because of the rotor and the outside of the caliper. There may be tangs on them to hold them otherwise. The first website below clearly shows big clips holding the outside pad.
