Changing pads on ford focus 2004 model?

Hello, Basically...

I need to replace my front brake pads on a ford focus 2004 model can any1 tell me how to do it ?

thanksChanging pads on ford focus 2004 model?sure.

jack up the car and take the wheel off.

It is a great idea to loosen the lug nuts to hand tight before jacking up the car.

Then take a socket ( from 13-15mm) and remove the 2 bolts holding on the caliper. * some models use a hex key instead of a socket wrench.

once you have the caliper off remove the old pads and secure the caliper. ( do not let it hang by the brake line)

take your new pads and lube the back of them. if you have shims (little pieces of metal around the inside of the caliper) leave them there.

now set the new pads aside and grab an old pad and the caliper.

put the old (1 pad) pad in the caliper and use a c clamp to push back the piston into the caliper.

once that is done simply take out the old pad, toss the new ones in and rebolt the caliper to the caliper bracket and put the wheel back on.

your done. here is a good go-by with pictures.
